First, gather your paper. A common technique involves using multiple layers of paper of varying colors for a more dynamic and visually appealing lotus flower. Cut several squares of paper. The size of the squares will determine the final size of your lotus. A good starting point is squares between 4×4 inches and 6×6 inches. Aim for at least five layers of paper. Next, fold each square in half diagonally to create a triangle. Then, fold the triangle in half again, creating a smaller triangle. You should now have a long, narrow triangle.
